On Thursday 29th June, we celebrated Science with a whole school Science Day!

We began with a whole school Science Assembly, led by Mrs Martin and her ‘Assistant Professors’.

The children were split into seven groups.  Each group was comprised of children from Reception to Year 6.  The children worked carefully together, with the older children encouraging and supporting learning.

During the day, each group visited seven Science Laboratories, each with a different focus:

  • Plants and the Environment
  • Sound
  • Electricity
  • Forces
  • Humans and Animals
  • Light
  • Materials

We had a fabulous time, with lots of opportunities for practical investigations, scientific inquiry, accurate measuring and close observations.

Please leave us a comment to share your child’s feedback!
